A sun-drenched apartment inspired by 70s Italy, perched atop LA’s most up-and-coming neighborhood.

MELROSE HILL FLAT

LOS ANGELES, CA. 2024.

In Melrose Hill, we transformed a compact apartment with Art Deco bones into a vibrant, wellness-focused retreat, blending style and personal heritage. The design channels the client's vision of her French grandmother’s apartment reimagined in modern Hollywood, with a strong influence of 70s Italian design. Every piece of furniture and decor was carefully sourced vintage, creating a layered, collected look that feels full of character and rich in history. White walls were maintained to preserve an airy, light-filled backdrop, while punchy textiles and bold art infused the space with dynamic color. The apartment's elevated position offers sweeping views of Griffith Observatory, creating a serene, creative reprieve from the hustle of Los Angeles. This project emphasizes not only style and aesthetics but also overall wellness, blending comfort, functionality, and a deep connection to the client's personal identity.
